Double bulge hoods came on all TR8s and was standard on TR7s from late 79 onward. Most TR7 verts had a double bulge. Looks like a good clean car for the price. Still doesn't mean that by the time you get it "sorted", you will have spent less money than just buying a good one from an enthusiast. If that color is the correct factory color, it appears to be a very rare color called Richelieu. The thing that is killing TR7s in Massachusetts is the states method of collecting sales tax when you go to register and title the car. They with get you for sales tax on 9K because that is what the state claims the average retail sale is. So by the time you register it, pay sales tax and title, you are writing a check to the state for more than the actual purchase price of the car. If the body is fantastic, and you have a spare V8 driveline laying around, then it's worth buying.
