I can think of a whole lot of engines I would rather swap into a Corvair in 2018. Maybe if this was 1998 that would be a compelling swap.

Who would go through all that just to leave the powerglide in there?

Seems like a solution to problem that no one should be foolish enough to have.

On the plus side it apparently comes with a dufflebag full of wiring for you to sort thru and contemplate how your life has gone so wrong that you now have a honda powered corvair

The corvair probably weighs about the same as the Accord,  so performance would be Honda-ish.  Adding a radiator and some ducting out front and the Honda engine most likely weighing less than the corvair one would probably help the handling and balance of the car. But doing all that and keeping the powerglide? Wow.

I've seen a B20-Turbo powered car on a Corvair forum.  That combination seemed worth the effort.
