Hello,
This is my first post here but I've visited the forums in the past. I decided to join because I think it's a good community and keeping a build thread will hopefully keep me moving along at a good pace. I'm really not sure of the build speed as I'm also am part of a chumpcar team, just bought a house needing work, and have a various other projects on the go.
Regardless, Here it is:
It's a one-owner 82 Corolla with 80,000kms on it. The classic "old-lady" grocery getter. Great base to start with mostly due to the owner religiously getting the car undercoated (even though it's an automatic with some rust bubbling under the paint) .
I will be building it for stage rallying, but up to that point I'll likely use it for other things. ... I'd love to try a hill climb but there doesn't seem to be any around me ... even close.
At this point the first steps are:
pull the engine, clean the bay, install manual steering rack, start rebuilding one of the 4a-ge's
Nice meeting all of you :)
