Coming out of the paint "booth", I'm very pleased with how the silver and green combo work together. I only picked the silver because it was on the shelf already.

Body sections, looking pretty uneven especially on level of shine, but I never claimed to be an expert.

And the rear "glass" now installed into the hatch cover, weather stripping glue is looking ugly but I have a plan to clean it up.

Finally, finally, finally all together!

just one more part missing. Now if you were to say that the nose of the car resembles a certain someone, maybe a certain muppet, who would it be?

Green paint + white "eyes" + red "tongue" = Yup! It's Ker-miata the Saab!

Packed up and ready to go!

Since we decided to go with the muppet theme, let's go all out right?

My brother Josh behind the wheel for Auto-x, He managed to grab a 44.2 - a second faster than my best time, but of course Allen McCracken dusted us both with a 42.440, good enough for 3rd place in GTN$!

We also managed to score 2nd place in the concourse, and ....

Our biggest honor - we won editor's choice award!

What an awesome weekend, So many great folks to meet and talk to, so many cool cars to ogle over, I knew it would be well worth the (13 hours each way) trip!

Not too far, about 15 - 20 miles West.

I'm not far from there. I'm over in Westminster and Codorus a lot. Maybe I'll see Crinkles on a trailer one of these days. :)

You might see him on the road too, it's got plates I just need to buy street tires.

Or maybe I'll see yeah at the PCA  auto-X in Aberdeen? I'm planning to hit the April 27th one to start.

Love this car! I just went through the whole thread. I talked with you all at the challenge and can't wait to see this car again next year!

Thanks again folks!

Not a ton of work getting done on the car now that I'm back to regular life schedule. But, my father was able to fix the broken discount corner scales I picked up. They needed a high frequency crystal soldered in at the astounding cost of 0.60 cents, score! Total cost $257.60.  (he had to pay $7 in shipping)

Car came in a little heavier than expected but this is with a full tank and the stock driver seat, a lighter racing seat has already be procured.

Also, as you can see, left to right is pretty good but it's nearly 280 pounds heavier up front. 236 pounds difference with me in it. Looking real hard at the front end for parts that can be moved... or thrown away.

Also, while looking for streetable tires I stumbled upon these, 15x9" and a cost of $300, after selling the mismatched tires, we are down to $120 invested.  That brings our budget surplus above $300! Time to shop for a new suspension!

Oh, yeah and they only weigh 15 lbs. Sometimes the wheel fairy is just looking out for you.

Welp, other than that, I missed the Local Auto-X last weekend but I am registered for this Saturday, Let's go!

Oh yeah, and after combing through video footage from as far back as 2019, I finally got the part one video done.

First video is only centered on making the turbo setup, I've got many more hours to edit if I want to get Part 2 done on the body-work.

Cheers!
