So what's going on with the brakes?

We are just getting to them! The master cylinder was empty, and it has no brake pressure.

Happy to see you on board.  Check the brake lines.  Start from the front (drivers side) and work your way back.  Rusty brake lines are common on the XJ.  Also, look at the lines coming from the master cylinder down.  I had a pin hole at the bottom of the firewall on one of mine.  Look for wet spots along the entire system.

What could I sell it for running and driving?

That's a pretty open ended question don't you think ? There are a lot of detail missing and few pictures.

It looks rusty to me. Where I am, in Texas, that's a no-sale. But some places are more tolerant of rust than southerners.

It's a 92 XJ Cherokee Briarwood 4.0, with 148K.

When our rockers would blow out like that we'd weld in 2x4 or better 2x6 box in there. Slide right off of rocks.

While, I have rockers to weld in.

Would that make it worth a lot more?

Put break fluid in, pumped the breaks five times and this is my leak.

Rear?  Before or after the junction?

Front, before.

That's the front. Judging by the rust it may be wise to do all the lines but if it is just one line and you can get both ends unscrewed without doing further damage you can get preflared lengths of NiCopp from Oreilly.

Alright. So it runs now! But it needs break lines! And I'm only 14, and my dad says I have to do them, and I don't feel like doing them! Anybody want the Jeep? Tell me if your intrested!

Evan's suggestion of NiCopp is a good one.  You're close.  It's all downhill from here.
