We are still having a tremendous amount of engineering fun!

Still have way more ideas than we can get get to the finish line with the current gang of dozen active contributors so current evil plan is to throw out maybe eight different plug & play ECU development boards and see if that would get us more C/C++/JS/PHP/Java developers.

So far we have four PnP dev boards fabricated and now we are bottle necked on actually testing those on real vehicles. Still, overall that's a tremendous amount of engineering fun.

But why competely reengineer from scratch, when even a MS1 on a custom board would save hundreds of hours and fit in budget? http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/cpu-megasquirti-cpu-p-105.html

Also, how are you valuing this whole project in the crapcan world? This seems to me like it screams for penalty laps.

I think we can do much better both in terms of code quality and features. In my dreams standalone ECUs have to be WAY smarter and nicer than they are at the moment.

We have the fourth PnP development board - this one is for 2005ish Nissans. Now I just need time, time and time to test it :(

Saw your post about the M111, but how's support looking for the M113? I wanna dump the M117 in my 500SE, and use a 6-speed manual from a Crossfire.

Very nice! Just need to make sure I grab the harness whenever I get around to this.
