K-Tuned inner tie rods installed! Anyone else planning on doing this job get a 29mm crow's foot, it made it painless.

Next weekend is the next race, hopefully I can get into my buddy's shop for alignment this week.

WOW! What an awesome day. This car is now HOOKED UP. The new set up is right on the money. No more understeer, drives like a properly balanced car now. The course today was just awesome, it was so much fun. It was also perfectly matched to my car, always in the VTEC powerband. The hairpin was insanely tight, going down to 1st gear, but I could get through it with no drama. I could feel the Torsen working throughout the whole course, pulsing in and out with the bumps. I think I will stiffen my front damping up one click for the next event. I started driving smoother towards the end of the day and dropped another tenth off my time. This is all just on a garage alignment, I never did get onto a proper rack.

A couple of the faster guys weren't there and a couple fast guys were a little off the pace, 2 second lead... devil

Got some new numbers magnets.

They had scales and I found out that my car actually weighs 100 lbs less than I previously thought, it was at 2670lbs. Published weight is 2788lbs. It was low on gas and had the spare tire removed. My weight balance is actually pretty decent for a FWD with 59% front 41% rear. Really need to get it corner weighted, yikes.

Super secret cooling fan WORKED LIKE A CHARM!!! It is not fast, but it works! After my first run while I was getting ready for my second my IAT was 92F, I turned off the car and turned on the fan and walked away. I came back 10-15 mins later and started it up and the IAT was 74F, which was basically ambient! I just left the fan turned on from then on. Unfortunately I didn't have my phone for the last two runs but the engine felt just as strong so I think it was still working.

Still uploading the video, might be awhile from my ancient internet connection.

No photos because it's boring but I installed a K-Tuned throttle cable. I was inspecting my car the night before the last auto-x and discovered my throttle cable was badly frayed and only 2 strands were left of the original cable. I attempted a repair with some thin wire and heatshrink, but it probably didn't do anything but make me feel like I was accomplishing something. Anyway, the car made it through the auto-x and got me all the way home too. I replaced it with K-Tuned simply because it was $20 cheaper than OEM.

I am very happy with the car now. I don't feel any need to modify anything else at this point. After the performance at my last auto-x I did not have any more areas I felt needed to be addressed. I can now focus on driving the car and wringing out all 10/10ths.

Just watch these two videos back-to-back. The first is the auto-x before installing KSport suspension and the second video is after. The car is so much faster and now I'm driving it rather than throwing it around trying to overcome bad tendencies.

Finally got on an alignment rack and checked out the numbers. Got the toe under control but there wasn't really anything we could do beyond how I already set up camber and caster, but the good news is those numbers look great front and rear. I think I will throw in my second set of camber bolts in the front and see if I can get close to -2.5.

Sunday is Race #4 in the series and it will be the first event where I haven't made a major change to the car beforehand. I'm excited!

Naturally, I sat in the car for the alignment:

This thread is making me seriously consider picking up one of these as a daily once my lease is up. Good luck at the next event!

Thanks artur, the race was great and I came home with 2nd again. The fast CRX was back, but he wasn't much faster than me this time. I was holding onto 1st until the 5th run when he got me by 2 tenths and I went slower. This month the course was really fun too. There were two spots where I kept locking up the tires under braking. The last even the braking was phenomenal but this event the temperatures were a little colder and I think the braking zones just had less built-up rubber on them. I think it's time to get my ABS working again.

(for some reason the timing system started showing me driving my previous car 2013 Nissan LEAF instead of my Honda)

I did get a cool sticker from my previous win!

Next race is tomorrow! Feeling confident and getting excited. I added the 2nd set of camber bolts so now I probably have closer to -2.5 deg of camber in the front. I also fixed my ABS sensor so now I have fully functioning ABS again which should be handy for the upcoming course:

That was a challenging course layout for me, could never piece it together. Ended up with 3rd place this time. I had a friend ask to co-drive my car, little did I know he was going to beat me in my own car! It was cool to see the EPZ3 go even faster than I could make it go.

Here's his lap from outside the car. He ran a 53.9 and the best I managed was only 54.2! We both went faster in my Civic than we went in his BMW M235i. This course definitely favored handling and driver skill over the car's max performance. FB class top 3 actually beat out the FA class (basically Spec Fiesta/Focus ST) at this event! My friend actually had never driven a FWD car before except for the odd Camry or whatever and he was blown away by my Civic. He had a ton of fun driving it and kept complimenting the handling.

Was finally able to get some tripod-action going!

Working on trying to get the fast laps off the camera but one file keeps telling me its corrupted so in the meantime here's a few more photos.

This was some tripoding in a different part of the track, this was at the end of the slalom:

A couple Miatas showed up

You might see this car if you go to Gridlife Alpine Horizon this weekend in Colorado. It is a double-driver challenge car. One driver steers, one driver pedals and shifts!

Heck yeah come on out! It's only $50, cheapest and lowest bar to entry for any racing I've ever seen. Your 911 Turbo would be either AWD-A or GT depending on your power to weight ratio.

Cool.  Do you need to work corners?  Do you have to brown bag all your food/water or are there concessions there?

No corner working required! PPIR has their staff to run the event. They usually have a food truck but bring water!

Looks like I'll finally be out there for the September event! So long as they allow the S2000 to exempt the Broomstick Test, that is.

Yep your S2000 will be fine. You'll be in good company there are several other S2000s that regularly show up.

Well looks like my time autocrossing this car has come to an end for the most part. It will just return to daily duty. I posted in an unrelated thread on an unrelated page on Facebook my dyno results from way back in March as part of a thread on hp/c.i.. Well I guess the director hadn't seen that before and decided I was illegal for FB and bumped me to FA. I posted it because I like talking about cars and sharing data points and it ended up getting my car DQed so oh well. Especially weird because I had been dyno'd at the 2nd or 3rd race of the season and was deemed legal. One dyno said 195whp and the other said 137whp...everyone knows dynos read all over the place and you can't find two dynos within 1000 miles of eachother that agree but that's how it shook out. Kind of a blessing in disguise I think because I was just about to buy a brand new set of RE71Rs which I'd only get to use for 3 more races this season, and the EPZ3 isn't really competitive in FB. And really, the only reason I started racing this car was because my Miata was broke down. So I decided I'll take that tire money and put it into tires for my Miata because that's really my more favorite car so that's what I'm doing.
