Maybe you could make something pretty big, where the wheels retract or the feet screw down, so its not trying to roll around as you use it. Or at the very least good locking casters. I dunno... maybe 3' wide and a bit deeper than the existing base? Make it from 2x4s on edge and fill it with sand or concrete? Just guessing here.
