I don't think I've done more than 300 miles in this car, total...
Went for the consolation price today and addressed one of the issues I've had with my Triumph Bonneville. Let's hope that the weather is actually decent enough to take it for a spin tomorrow.

Interesting.
I ordered and bought mine at Lotus Of Greenwich (owner has been a big time BaT Seller. -Mark Starr who passed away recently. He started the HRM Elise/Exige). I picked it up and drove it 3200 miles across the country, stopping and making many ELise friends. Had a long thread on miata.net/s2ki/lotus talk at that time.
Have a good safe spin tomorrow!
I decided that with the current weather not being that conducive to outdoor activities today, it was time to E36 M3 or get off the pot, err, jack up the Lotus. Given that you have to be very careful with jacking these up at precisely the right points if you don't want to bend or break anything, and the fact that this car seems to be able to smell fear, it wasn't an undertaking that one would take lightly.
After what I'd call a "berkeleying palaver" if I were still living in the UK, we have a free floating Lotus that very likely is jacked up in the right places:

The front rotors look fairly new, but the damage that the remnants of Debbi did that the pads aren't able to clean off is also rather visible:

The rears are looking a bit better but not by much. I already have a set of DBA rotors for the front so I'll order a matching set for the rear and get cracking. I also probably need to replace the bleed screws and find some way to get that paint off the caliper unless I can find a shop around here that has a bead blaster or a vapor blaster.
Then it's new tyres and off to a local-ish race shop that supposedly works on these for a little bit of extra work and most importantly, an alignment.
So far, the light at the end of the tunnel has not yet sounded a horn, which might or might not be a good sign.
