By my father's suggestion, I am going to start releasing 2 days per day for a little while. Just to pick up the pace a little. 

Day 7 - October 25, 2016

Worked on cleaner undercoating from left rear inner.

I see on the FB page that you are going to lose some weight off the front end!!!

Indeed. 96 pounds difference between the steel and fiberglass.

I really like the transparency shown by your build thread so far. Hopefully a few of the doubters will begin to understand how the magic happens. 

I think we'd all agree that there's nothing special about the shell they started with.

I believe they call that sweat.  Because every time i go there those two are dirty and working on something.

What's a wood chisel? Oh you mean an undercoat scraping tool.

prepped inner wheel well. Welded on extension to fill gap.

Day 9 - October 27, 2016

Cameron helped with getting the wheel tub and filler strip welded in.

I think it's fair to say that this group recognizes that: good/thoughtful work at the beginning makes the glamorous stuff towards the end possible

Thank you for the photo posts.  Keep them coming.  

P.S.  I have some wood working tools I inherited.  Your use as a undercoating scraper bests any use I've gotten out of mine.  

The proper term for that tool is "hog bar" , since it's no longer a chisel.  Nothing wrong with a good hog bar, I have several.

I think we all need to guess how many days this build is going to take. 

I secretly wonder if this is all subterfuge. That the Nelsons will unleash a classified neutron bomb project on the Challenge while we are all watch this rad Nova being built.

Most of the parts are readily available to go really fast if you have fabrication skills. What they did with injectors this year opens up a lot of potential.
