Added bonus content. I backed up the Miata to try and jump start the Cadillac. Little tight quarters. NSFW language.

unfortunately this video was not sufficient evidence to convince my wife that our driveway could hold more project cars. thank you (and carol) for the effort, though!
good luck picking up Mrs. Bean

That probably would have been easier if you'd put the top down...
In reply to Pete Gossett :
Yeah well then you wouldn't have a video of a fat guy trying to get out of a Miata. We're on the road to get Pinto Bean.
If that is the rear end I am thinking of (10 bolt) it may Have the 12 bolt Ring and Pinion Installed. It was done on some El Camino's too. 73-76

The only problem with the Cadillac rear is the 2.28 gears. We're considering an Explorer 8.8.
A friend of mine had a 79 camaro in highschool with a mild 350 build. It was optioned with 2.41 gears. From 40-160 it was scary.
Years ago I had a buddy with a similarly aged Caddy that did very scary, very dangerous things with it in the wee hours of the morning on a long flat stretch of isolated highway.
Easily the most frightened I've ever been in a car. Probably the most frightened I've ever been, period.
And we've picked her up. She's much smaller and lighter than I expected. Hobiercr showed us the compound and then we loaded up all the spares before heading over to pick up Pinto Bean. We switched over to the Mustang 10 holes to make loading easier.
We all headed out to some great seafood and now we're on the way home.

That's a nice picture to have. Do you think a mid sump will work or will we have to set it back further? Did you have to go into the foot well?
Sorry didn't really do a once home update but you'll understand in a bit. The trailer thing above was just a bolt catching and breaking a weld and a board on the trailer. As we were heading back Carol started getting sick. We actually dropped her off at an urgent care place as we got into town. Right as she's being diagnosed with the flu I started feeling like E36 M3 also. It was late so we just dropped the trailer and clean the parts out of Chris's bed. Over the next few days as energy allowed we fixed the trailer and took it back to pimpm3. Chris ended up coming down with the flu Monday night. So sucky week for all of us except Lil Stampie who was lucky enough to avoid it all together. We did make a trade of one of the transmissions for a nitrous plate and solenoids.

After looking at your picture more yesterday I started coming up with ideas that are a little more drastic than originally planned.
