Making the rear wider without using flairs looks pretty easy. The front I am still thinking about...

Keeping the trailer full would probably be good, keeping me from dragging stuff home.

They dont seem to have an edge to them. around the  tire diameter; just flat steel. Not a deal killer, but worth knowing. The MGB people use offcuts from a VW Rabbit front fender when squeezing wide rubber under the car. Keith can elaborate on this.

Long convoluted story about titles , the fact that GA does not have titles for cars before 85, and how this car HAD been previously titled in FL... I’ll spare the details.

Ending: I have a title and I love my small town DMV office!

The guy I bought it from was a VW guy, and he thought the idea was great, but this was never his baby.

It looks like it has been 20 to 30 years at least since this car was anyone's baby.

This car missed the loving family boat a LONG time ago.

Sooo... the mechanical donor, aka the groom, he was a mess.

Wrecked like 3 months ago, and sat outside.

Got pretty wet.

On top of that it appears that the wrecker driver just shoveled all the debris into the trunk and the interior.

There was a lot of wet trash on the top.

Mold under that.

Started with taking the trunk lid and top cover mechanism off, and filling a trash bag.

I've found a few treasures so far.

Big Chinese LED flashlight. Spray paint, tools.

Prerequisite Crown Royal Bag.

And money. More change than I've probably ever found in a single car.

And that's on TOP of the carpet. Probably Dozens of dollars, lol.

All of it crusty.

Wet.

Moldy.

Mixed with glass.

Who knows what's under the seats, console, and carpet.

I would take all the change and carpet,  Dump the carpet with the change into a bucket, just like clearing a cutting board into a pot.  Toss the carpet and then use a whack of dish soap and clean the change before even touching it.  Does that count as money laundering??? LOL

here's a bogey for you:

i had a rusty Mariner Blue '92 Miata that came with $62 in change.  most of that was recovered from under the carpet on the driver's side. seemed the PO went to the drive-thru for a lemonade every day, dumped the handful of change in the cup holder which then spilled down the side of the console and into the park brake opening in the carpet, bulging the carpet to the point that the seat would no longer slide.  he also spilled lemonade everywhere.  that car was disgusting.

Scoop up the change with a spatula and rubber gloves, drop it into a pan of hot water & Dawn.

Take it off the budget and donate it to the Boy Scouts.

Yea, save that money. It's basically minty fresh compared the Hazmat money and I've already spent that. If you can get it non-sticky it spends just fine.
