Glad to hear the BMW got taken care of - pleasantly surprised to see how it turned out.

I can't wait to see the new build thread.

If you watch any of the car flipping shows on Velocity/Discovery, that answer would be "anything". Cobra/Daytona kit car would be interesting to see.

I've watched every Wheeler Dealers I can find and I don't remember them ever bringing in $30k profit.

I think he's referring to any of those musclecar/hotrod/classic car rebuilding programs that they show on there. You know, buy a Charger for 10k then dump 30k into it and sell it on for 70k plus. I think those days are behind us now, but you could probably do that with an aircooled Porsche about right now. Buy a 35k long hood car, convert it to 73 RS clone and get close to 100k for it once done.

In reply to t25torx:

Exactly. I was being a bit sarcastic, too.

Shows like Fast N' Loud, Counting Cars, etc... find stuff for a few grand and flip it for a fortune. Thus, my sarcasm, as it's all scripted.

On the Porsche/Fast N' Loud end of things, Richard Rawlings was on Carolla's Carcast over the summer (and was VERY low-key) and said that he was stockpiling old 911's for awhile. That bubble will burst at some point. Seems like a solid $35k longhood might be a little tough to find these days. Even nice 912's are creeping up to 50k.

Those who bought 911's a few years ago won the game, for sure.

BTW--Magnus Walker just bought a 924. Let's see where 924 values go as a result...

And it's gone! It's new owner made the final payment on her today and she's off to her new home. The new shed also shows up today so I can finally get all this extra crap out of the garage and start working on prepping the garage for the Daytona build.

Dad has his 1983 911sc euro (no sunroof) and is getting ready to sell it. It's got a TON of work done to it. need to get him to get pics. (he's having the corbeaus recovered before he sells it...)

Congrats. I'm glad no flaking occurred. Best of luck with the next one.

It's about to start as soon as I get the parts shipment from Factory Five. I suppose I could go ahead and post up some pics of the car before work gets started..
