TrashbInfiniti is gone.  Scrap guy told me "give me an hour" at noon and showed at 4:50.  Delivering the Rx8 tonight, successfully making room for a pair of q45's.

Womp on it some and see what's good and what breaks, then probably take all the goodies and put them on the white one.  Going to keep an eye out for correct color hood and decklid to get rid of hail damage, if i can find those i'll have the PDR guy fix the roof.

need to figure out the paint code too so i can pull the spoiler off the green car and paint it for the white one.

both cars are likely on old gas and are running as such.  Good but not as good as they could be.

first order of business will be fix RR window on white car.

carli likes the white one so i'm good.

Q45 with active suspension came standard with a huge rear sway bar like 20mm

Q45t came standard with a 17mm rear sway bar.

Q45 base models got no bar.

The white is a base but it wears an ultra rare sway bar from an Active suspension model.

The green is a t (touring model) so it has a 17mm

I love that both cars have time slips in the door pockets

ordering plugs for white car soon since with 76k they could potentially be 30 year old originals.  The consensus NGK's like it was for the 2000 ?

How did you get that approved with historical plates!?!  I've heard Ohio is a little choosy about the vehicles they approve.

Been thinking about that for the LS400—I definitely don't put much in the way of miles on it, but worried about getting snagged for non-historical driving use.

Ohio is choosy with collector plates.  Historical tags are 25+ years no matter what.  I went so far as to get a letter from gm for my 95 impala ss stating production numbers and ohio still wouldn't do collector plates because the bmv doesn't recognize the SS as distinguished from any old caprice.  I ended up having to send in $5000 in receipts for modification to the car before they would issue my plates.  It's dumb, any and every corvette can get them but show up with a limited production special model and all of a sudden your gold chains aren't gold enough

Admittedly these are john's plates and i am debating whether to get normal or historical.  I think the plan is to drive it in the summer and garage it in the winter because it's too darn clean to subject to salt.  It's akin to a 1 year old Cleveland car underneath.  There is basically zero rust minus a couple fasteners.  The exhaust clamps and bolts spun easily with hand tools.

When are you ordering the maxpeedingrod 300zx coilovers and front adjustable control arms? The 300zx stuff is just a little bit shorter and you'll need to use the different size bearing from the Q45s lower mount.

The car has basically new tokico blues up front.  I'm planning to swipe the springs from rusty at some point but that may not be till winter.  I think the next thing i get from them will be a turbo to test

Have to investigate rusty for transmission fluid level because it got a little noisier on my ride.

Rusty has vomited the starter.  Through contact with the guy that did the transmission swap, it's a z32 N/A trans and starter.

got it to start by bumping the key 30 times and the solenoid clunking probably got it free enough for one last start, so i took it for a ride and banged some gears.  Current mood is get under it and see what the important bits look like.  If there are rotten lines it's not worth fixing because of the body condition and interior condition and electrical hacking and that 2 windows work and ac doesn't, and all the other quirks.  John bought it as a parts car and honestly that's what it needs to be.

white car is way nicer than i'm used to.  I've got it run down to almost E so i can fill with fresh gas
