There were S500s, S600s and S800s. They looked similar but the 500 and 600 had a funky chain drive rear.

Man I love these cars. There have actually been a few for sale if you look around. I've seen a lot on bring a trailer sub $20k easy. Surprised they haven't climbed a bit higher.

Based on the year and the hood, it could be an S800. The last S600 was produced in August 1966. I owned one of the last S600's. The interior is not original and the hood may have been swapped. Also, the very first S800's were chain drive. All in all, that price is not out of line. Less than 300 were brought into this country, some from Canada and some from Europe by returning servicemen. These cars are a hoot to drive. I bought one in California and drove it back to New Jersey in 4 days! As Bill would say "Good Times!"
