Assume it needs a lot more. Those 2.5s are either good or bad but, unfortunately, I knew one that died (d chunk) at around this miles. Also, I think this is a dual mass flywheel so, either way, you'll be buying a flywheel and doing the ims bearing. So, at best, almost 2k in parts, best case, on the engine alone. Still cheap though.
It depends on the cause of the "small leak." It could be a failed IMS bearing in which case it'll cost whatever route go for a new engine.

Hopefully it is factory paint on it. Then it would be Glasurit, a decent paint to buff and shine again.
