My Land Cruiser has annoyed me for the last time and I dont drive it enough to justify it.

432k miles, yes 432000 miles.  Timing belt was last done in 2016 at 398k miles.

General Grabber X3's in 285/75r16 with less than 10k miles on them.

2 Row so only has rear fan and heat.

Horn stopped working and was replaced by a button on the dash.

Windsheild was replaced earlier this year as well.

Everything else works.

Has some trail damage and there is a rust spot just starting to bubble up on the rear passenger wheel well. Frame and everything else is clean.

Muffler is rusted out thus its essentially straight piped.

It is a 99 so its the 4 speed auto with the center locking dif only.

Either I don't drive it enough or it just eats batteries cause this is the 2nd battery I have put in it and it was dead this morning but it still holds a charge at least for a few days once its charged up, the battery has worked fine this summer but I guess it doesn't like the cold.

Its looking like the sunroof drains are the culprit.

Will add more pics later today.

good side

In reply to docwyte :

I have full faith on that it would make the drive to colorado just fine. The battery is fine most of the time, I think its just the cold and me only driving it maybe once a month or so that killed this battery.

Betting the windshield leak got into the fuse box.  I had a 2000 that had the same issue but from the sunroof drains.  Does the sunroof still work?

its looking like the sunroof drains.  It wasnt the horn stopped working it was that after a hard rain it came on and stuck on.

can get those pics tomorrow.

I check the dipstick every gas fill up and it never goes down, there is a very slight burnt oil smell after you turn it off but i cant see anything wet and there are no drips.

Will consider a trade for a clean rust free 4x4 Suzuki X-90 or a rwd rallycross car

Guess our definitions are different . Zoom in on muffler etc

It's a great car. I am a huge LC proponent

nothing against it - just not for me

someone will give it a nice home. Great deal. Seller is pretty awesome too from the threads we spoke on

Looks like the rust is mainly on the exhaust which needs replaced anyway. What little I could pick out of the frame looks ok.

Rust has a different meaning for those of us that's lived in SoCal. As an east coaster that moved to the west coast, I don't think I'd could touch rust ever again. SPOILED!

With that said, these things go forever. I'd try to get 1mil miles out of it instead of selling.

So it just needs a new battery at pick up?

Battery holds a charge once it runs for a while, its not dead dead. If I jump it off from dead dead and go for about a 45min-1hour drive it will start the next day. but a new battery would likely help.

also remembered the passenger rear window doesn't roll down from that door but it rolls down from the drivers door so i think the switch just needs replaced.

I see the muffler. The muffler isnt  integral/structural to the vehicle. Anyone that asks pictures of  a$4K landcruiser and fixates on a rusted muffler with nearly half a million miles under its belt as the reason for not buying the truck was not going to buy it anyway.

Good luck OP - this truck is solid. You will get this sold in no time to the right person  - not tire kickers and backyard used car salesmen.
