I am posting my 2006 Mitsubishi Outlander SE AWD for sale. Our family is growing and we bought a new 2022 Honda Odyssey, so our old trusty family hauler needs to go. I am choosing to list here before letting the vultures get to it.
Original family owners, purchased and resided in CO for first of half its life before coming to Midwest.
Good:
- 2.4L SOHC (~20-25 mpg)
- 112k miles (will not go up)
- No dash lights, everything works (heated seats, Infinity CD, windows, cruise, AC etc.)
- Full time AWD
- Timing belt not due until 129k
- Brand new Michilen's with receipt and warranty (~2k miles on them)
- New brakes all the way around including coated front calipers
- New OEM Mitsu downpipe and heat shields
- Full set of Nokian Hakka R2 snow tires mounted on steelies (best snow tires I've ever had)
- Roof cross bars included
- No major rust/rot except in rear dog legs on both sides (pics to show)
- Non-smoker
- No weird stains or smells
- No torn seats or interior pieces missing
- Normal wear/tear for a vehicle that's 16 years old (scratch/dents/rust)
- Pretty extensive records since we are original owning family
Bad:
- Front left plastic fender flare found some brick wall and peformed weight reduction by way of cheese grater technique
- Plastic is grey/silver, so can hardly tell, just being honest, see pics
- Random hard start when heat soaked
- Vehicle will become hard to start when heat soaked
- Symptom is crank no-start
- Ether/starting fluid fixes instantly (clearly fuel injection/permission related)
- I have tried as much as I'm willing to, and just don't have time or energy to deep dive (thus price)
- I just keep can in car if it acts up, treated as a quirk at this point
- Tiniest exhaust leak at post resonator, before muffler, at attachment weld
- Zero desire to replace cat back, barely noticeable, again, just being honest
