Driver side airbag cover looks like it was replaced. Fuel filler door missing. Are those 8th Gen Civic Si wheels? Is that even factory paint? No under hood shots. No thanks.
In reply to RustBeltSherpa :
Those are factory wheels. The double spoke style was certainly popular in the mid 2000s
That's a sweet rust spot on the drivers door. Maybe we aren't giving it the love we expect out of a jaguar....that $3k is definitely a roll of the dice.
Definitely a unicorn as the 3.0 with a manual and awd is hard to find...... but lots of things to worry about under the skin. What I want is a cheap XJR!

You won't be disappointed. ' Love mine.
In reply to Fueled by Caffeine :
Panel gaps in the front are bad, and the paint miss-match between the right A pillar and the fender + the driver's air bag cover...No this one has been whacked. Too bad, it really is a unicorn.
It also has the sport package, which is pretty rare. The steering wheel peeling up like that is an issue with the early ones, doesnt mean it wasnt hit, but it might not have been. My wheel did the same thing. The whole front bumper and everything also pulls off similar to VW/Audi for servicing, and if your too lazy to align it straight (and take the bumper cover on/off 20 times in the process) it will look like that. They are actually pretty reliable to a point and parts arent hard to get. The point mine made it to was somewhere around 178k, then everything failed at once and I gave up on it (cats, wheel bearings, bushings, clutch slave, axle, coils). Also, I bought mine with 80k? on it I think, in 2009ish and I paid something like 4k from a dealer.
I really miss mine though...
Mine is pretty low mileage at 90k and was $3,000 last year in Florida. We like it, but it isn't perfect.
As much as I love a manual, I'd probably follow others advice and go XJR. Shocked how affordable these things are now!

Not that I'm in the market, but why are these cheap? Do they implode at 130k miles or need $300 oil changes? Please say yes so I don't surprise my wife with one of these and then have to sleep in it.

The biggest bugaboo is the timing chain tensioners. If this has the newest updated gen 3 all metal ones, you're in a good spot. 98 I think is in the Nikasil range, which had/has issues with the bore plating peeling. Most would have blown by now tho IMO.
