I've been waiting on a good steering knuckle so a lot of it has been on hold. A thought occurred to me while I was playing with my 1 year old (why??) -- was it so bad in the snow and kicking out the rear because of the bad speed sensors? Or is it fixed AWD ratio of 60/40 R/F? No DSC on this year, either
MINIzguy, thanks for lending a hand last night!
As he can attest, I have an unbroken string of bad luck. The 3rd knuckle came in, hub was bad, I got a new one pressed in-- and it was driver's side, though marked for the right side.
So how about the driver's control arm? Let's open the box annnnd -- a second passenger side control arm.
After he took off and I got the kids to bed I came back out and finagled the old knuckle onto the new control arm, which was all I was really after in the first place. I also got the other speed sensor in the back. This morning I drove it to work and had a speedometer for the first time! And then half a mile later it was gone.
I cleared the CEL and the ABS light is still on. I guess I should have looked thru the hole for the rings.
Meanwhile I did some donuts today and all I'm getting is spinning rear tire. I need to try some fresh powder and see if I kick up from the front too. Otherwise I'm just confused.
Took some more test footage today. Fronts do move.
AWD=Check!
CEL came on today for both rear speed sensors.
But seriously the suspension is such a mess! It's snowing right now so I don't want to get out underneath it, but I just gotta imagine something is entirely missing in the backend. It feels like a chaos of motion any time I hit a pothole. Almost like on my brother's '86 Accord when this brace between the rear wheels was just absent and it felt like the rear skipped sideways on a whim. Unnerving at highway speeds. And the driver's door handle has stopped opening the door. Of course.

Haha this has become the worst "for sale" thread ever. And it's not quite up to the level of build thread
Is this still available and what is current status? I'm just down the road from you in Ann Arbor.

Indeed it is. It's in the same shape as my last post. Just fine around town but the highway-speed driving when it's slick is unnerving to me.
Thanks. However, I have come to my senses and realized that yet another cool car with needs is not a good thing for me now. Good luck with the sale!
