Not mine, etc...

You could very easily turn this into a badass speedster.

Seriously...you could cut off everything behind the seats, flip a 14 foot aluminum boat over on the back and build a couple of wooden doors. Done.

Our local Shrine temple has one that is very similar. I have driven it some, very cool truck the one above looks like it is in good shape too.

I contacted him. He said that the frozen clutch is not preventing it from rolling, and he thinks it's 19 or 20 feet long overall.

If you wear a monocle behind a monocle windscreen, would that be bifocals or binoculars?

Or a telescope?

It should be a conventional style clutch, maybe a twin-plate but they should have stopped using a cone clutch by then. Might be able to un-stick it by running it with the rear wheels off the ground, holding the clutch down and applying the brakes.

Hydraulic brakes are a good thing and I haven't met a slave or master cylinder that couldn't be sleeved.

I believe the engine was their own, same as they used in the REO Flying Cloud so core engine parts might be hard to find but I bet the distributor, starter and generator would be Delco, Owen Dyneto or Northeast components.

Transmission is probably Warner or Detroit Gear.

And it's pronounced "Rio" not like those goofballs from the band R.E.O. SpeedDealer.

It's probably worth $2500 in parts if you had to get out from under it.

Right down the road from me.  Wonder what Mrs. Loweguy would say when that thing showed up in the driveway?

Just to bring this back up and ask when the build thread is starting....

Saw this in Monterey in 2016. It's a made-up roadster powered by a Hall-Scott firetruck engine:

When he started it, it sounded like the world was coming to an end...

Well, if I bought it and you towed it to your house until I could get there, then we would know.

Now, how do I move it 2 hours away?  18ft. trailer is too short and a dolly is too narrow.

Wheelbase is 163" (13.5ft.).  So it should fit on an 18ft. trailer?
