Yay!!!   Not as happy as you are, but glad it all worked out.  Now, on to making it your own.

Wow, I got hungry reading your posts!    Even home made mustard!  Not just coconut creme pie but root beer cake too!

One interesting note, now that I see the back of the van, there is no markings that it is a awd model.  It sure isn't easy to shop for these awd models that give little to no outside indication that they are awd.  Is there anything on the dashboard, like a switch/knob/lever to use as an indication that it is an awd model?

The bigger question...Have you verified that it is a awd model?  sad

Woohoo Curtis is back.  Now we'll never find out how he overthrew the North Korean government.

And P.S.... if you've never towed with a Duramax, do it.  You'll never want to tow with a gas vehicle again.  With the exception of merging on a highway, I never (and I mean never) used more than about 1/4 throttle, even in the mountains.

I think the GM tows the best. Ford's suspension isn't as great while towing. And the dodge is noisy in my opinion. Towed with my friends 2020 Duramax High Country and it was super nice. You really can't go wrong with any of the big 3 but I like the GM the most so far.

Haa... yup.  I think the van had a partial re-paint at some point which might explain the missing badges.  I have to do some sleuthing on the re-paint.  It may have been painted to match the company color, but not sure.  But I verified that it is AWD, both by the VIN, and by noticing the transfer case while I was chaining it on the trailer.

Being full-time AWD, these don't have a switch for the transfer case.  It's just a 65/35 full time torque split.

Aztec warrior, or lady in skimpy rags/wild west brothel garments. You know, the best of the lowrider murals.

Something tasteful and subtle.

I like the idea of the sorcerer one, maybe with some callbacks to your prior professions in the background.

I should have all of you guys send me every picture you have of yourselves and I could make them into 3" stickers.  Plaster the van with thousands of you and put one of me for the Where's Waldo theme.

Also, there is this:

Also, got the plates and title work done today.  It drives brilliantly.  I think the most exciting thing was the discovery that it has tow/haul mode.  It's not a huge deal, I just feel like such a grownup.  Up until now the only tow/haul mode I've ever had was a stick with a 5-speed H-pattern on it.  Brand new E-range tires (which don't seem to affect ride quality).  They are more of a highway tread than I would have personally chosen, but a smart choice for NC and certainly quiet.

And if anyone has their Ovaltine decoder ring and wants to follow along, this is what I'm deciphering tonight.  I already recognize my favorite.... G80.

In reply to 759NRNG (Forum Partidario) :

G codes tell you the diff.  So you should have another G code that is the ratio.
