Here's my new to me 06. Important codes are G for axle, L for engine, and Z for suspension.

GT4, if I recall. I can find my list and decode all of it, but I assume Curtis has that?

GT4 is the 3.73.  And yes, totally stoked that it doesn't have the 3.42s but I would have lived with it.

This list doesn't have every one, but almost.  rpoCodes.pdf (rparts-sites.s3.amazonaws.com)

There are several possibilities of codes for the 3.73.  They made several RPOs for that one gear.

As far as I know, all 3/4 and 1-ton Duramaxes all came with the 3.73.  I think 4.10 was an option in the bigger trucks.  Of course, that may be different with the ZF6 that you have.

my Astro RWD is 3.42, open. The Astro AWD is 3.42 and G80 limited slip. And the parts blazer is 3.73 and G80. 

Ive been bored enough to look up every code on all three.

Yeah that Chevy color that is either brown, gray, silver, or light green depending on the light.  I'll see if I can get pictures today but nothing special just a standard cab short bed.

LB7 threw me for a loop until I realized duramax. Limited slip, heavy duty towing package.

I see UQ5.  That was a speaker upgrade.  UY2 is a wiring harness thing under the bed for hooking up a slide in camper.  Z82 is the factory-installed hitch (made by reese)  Z85 is the increased GVW package.  Not sure what parts it got, but GM had a couple different GVWRs for any given truck.

BTW... had to ressurect this thread.  I had taken a grandfather clock to a repair guy.  He delivered it back to me today in a van very similar to the one I bought.  Only difference was that his was tan, an 04, and had 511k on it.  I told him I got mine for $7000, 2006, with 90k.  He darn near lost his mind.  He instantly offered my $9000 plus his van in trade.  Before he left, he was up to $10k plus the van PLUS an 04 suburban with 140k.

I told him no.  I'm simultaneously really proud of myself and also wondering how stupid I am.  I could have traded my $7000 van for a $2500 van, a $6000 burb, and $10k cash.  I think its because I don't want a 511k van and a burb.  I want MY van.

He is going to give me some snow tires on steelies since he is selling his van for a Sprinter.

You probably made the right decision.  Sounds like they are almost impossible to find in good shape.
