Long shot here. We have a 2003 330CiCA, 154k miles, that we want to trade for a newer M54 3.0 and six-speed. Need it for a E46 wagon project. Bought the vert to use the engine in my swap, but the car drives too well to part out. This car deserves a shot. But I'll still need a 3 liter for my wagon.
The vert looks good from a few steps back. Exterior is not bad. Top looks fine. No major body damage. Interior is rough looking, especially the seats, but it is a complete car; runs well and drives surprisingly well. Engine feels and sounds healthy. Auto trans shifts well. Some clear coat issues on the hood. Has a few oil leaks. Needs a LCA bushing. Has newer brakes. We pressure tested the cooling system. Nothing leaking. Lost 2 lbs of pressure in 25 minutes. See pictures. A/C idler pulley needs to be replaced. We removed the belt.
Trade us your wrecked 330 6-speed for a driver that you can fix up. Or just give us the engine and trans and drive the vert car home. Clear CA title. Not smogged. We have some good used parts that we can give a buyer to get you started fixing up the vert. Radio. Door lock that I think will work.
Would also consider selling the vert for $2500 (or reasonable offer). If nobody is interested, we will probably pull the engine and part out the car. Located in San Luis Obispo, CA. Delivery within about 100 miles can be arranged.
