Looking for something that’s ultra-rare? It’s hard to beat this one-of-only-three-ever-built, short-wheelbase Maserati Frua Spider.

The car was imported into the United States in the late ‘50s, with one of the owners believed to have used it to compete in SCCA events across the country–and it may have been fitted with Corvette V8 during that time.

Later, in the early 2000s, the Frua Spider was shipped back to Modena where it received a “no expense spared restoration,” with Carrozzeria Brandoli, Officine Candini, Carrozzeria Cremonini and Interni Maieli reported having performed the work. A correct six-cylinder engine was also eventually fitted to the car.
