Toyota sold its 2000GT against the Jaguar E-type and Porsche 911, helping to prove that Japan could make a sports car on par with the best of what Europe had to offer. This 2000GT is one of just 337 examples that the company offered from 1967-1970.

Powered by a 2.0-liter, twin-cam straight-six paired with a five-speed manual, the 2000GT was capable of nearly 150 horsepower

This particular car, MF10-10050, is a right-hand-drive, domestic-market example. It was restored prior to being imported into Europe from Japan in 2013. It has made numerous appearances throughout France.

Find this 1967 Toyota 2000GT going up for auction from RM Sotheby’s, with an estimated winning bid of $550,000-$750,000.
