Sure, the “Godzilla” nickname is often credited to the R32-chassis GT-R, but even the success of that car wouldn’t have been possible were it not for this Nissan, the Skyline 2000 GT-R.

This 1969 model is said to have been imported from Japan back in 2013, with the current owner acquiring the car in 2019.

Currently showing 84,000 kilometers (about 52,000 miles), the GT-R comes equipped with triple Solex carburetors, 14-inch Watanabe wheels, fixed-back driver’s seat and even a Japanese AM radio.

Find this 1969 Nissan Skyline GT-R available from Bring a Trailer. Hagerty currently values examples in No. 3 conditon at $93,700.
