Last night it was +2 with no snow or rain.
I could no longer resist the call of the garage.
I shunted the last jobs in the master bathroom reno and went outside.
The objective was simple.
Improve the layout and work space.
I moved my 2nd bench and cabinets. Swapped them in fact.
Today I'll hit the store for 13 2x4's and start on the false wall.
The bulge is the stairs inside the house. Its interfering with me hanging 4 cabinets cleanly across the wall.
So a false wall will allow me to run electrical, insulate the wall to the house and flush mount the cabinets.
I can then make the benches more solid and level too. Game on.
It will take a few more sessions to get the place sorted, but now that I've had time to look it over I have a better game plan.
After the first wall is done. I will move the tap to the end of the garage. I decided I did not want the tap anywhere need the tool chests.

Still a little early for me yet. Another 2-3 weeks once the snow is gone.
I have to get it done so I can prep the race car ;)
Started on the 2x4's today.
Will be done by the end of the coming week.
Fired up the GT6 today.
What a wonderful sound.
Progressing along.
Its cold tonight :)

Zero this morning; 35 this afternoon. I spent my weekend installing more ceiling lights in the garage. The older I get, the darker the garage gets...
I have 3 more banks of those lights to install.
But I will paint the place first.

I've still got sheetrock to hang, but I had to get more light. I'm looking at installing some caged florescent fixtures at floor level for under-car lighting, too. I've got a serious issue with darkness.
In the old garage I did a nice 45 degree job.

More work tonight.
Should be all done framing by the weekend, but the weather is not being nice.
Once the framing is done I will do the electrical, insulation and buy some dry wall.

Great day in the garage. Even drove the GT6 and started the FIAT up.
