I'm a sucker for some of the classic wheels—Minilite, ATS, Ronal Turbos, Campis, etc. So, it should come of no surprise that I couldn't resist a set of 13x7 Revolution RFX 5-spoke wheels for the 2002tii. I would have liked to have found some 13x7 Panasports for street use, but I'll be using some Rota RBs for my track tires.

So, that's my confession. What are your favorite classic wheels?

I do like the slotted supra wheels.

They just made the GT6 look cool.

Panasports. We have them on the MINI and Spitfire. Want them for the 1800ES. I'm even thinking of them for the E30.

I do love my 15" wheels too.

Tough pick eh.

Faux American Racing Libre wheels, offered as a rare dealer option 68-70 or so. I've had a couple sets of these and they are unique; the lug bolt size is oddball making them even rarer to see bolted to a car. I confess to liking these better than the Italian made Cromadora Dino style wheels that came out a few years later.

BTW, this car came with Appliance aluminum slots on it originally (dealer installed) but I never felt they went with the Italian lines of the car.

13x7 of any description ought to look awesome on the 2002. IMO, smaller diameter, low-offset wheels generally suit old cars the best. Pity the tyre selection then becomes quite thin.

Personally I'm a big fan of old-school JDM wheels. Watanabes, SSR Mk1, 2 etc.

Any idea what they call these wheels?

Oh Per as with any car you know there is a 2 sets of wheels minimum eh.

Mazda x2 sets (winter and 17" summers). Triumph x2 sets used to be 3. FIat Racer x3 but will ditch a set shortly due to defects.

Getting out hand. ;)

No financial interest here....... Superlite Wheels just liked the looks of their Spline Drive wheels on my car as much as I do. I've ran them on my racer for the past 3 years.

Just picked up a set of original 6 X 13 Shelby's. Similiar look to the minilites or panasports. They were off a Sunbeam Tiger I'm told, but have the same bolt pattern as the TR8. Will post a photo once they're cleaned up and mounted.

If you have any influence over at VTO, is there any chance they could make their website better?

I love my panasports Photobucket

I liked the american racing made fiat-roosevelts as well but at only 5" wide they just weren't the best choice Photobucket

But if I could have any wheels they would be campagnolos Photobucket

I saw a white Volvo P1800 ES with Borrani wire wheels, the ones with the three wing knock offs. They looked beautiful on that car!

I don't mind wire wheels on the 1800 coupe... especially on a couple I've seen with body mods that make the car look more "Italian"... but on the ES... eh...

Conversely, old Volvo 240 Turbo wheels look great on an ES, but less so on a coupe... hard to explain why.

If I ever buy an Italian car, I'd definitely want a set of Campy wheels.
