Despite more than a few setbacks, we did make it to Amelia Island in time. We were still actually fixing and detailing stuff for much of the day before the show.
We got the car placed on the field the afternoon before the show and waited for the big day.
We were tired, but elated. Our Restoration Impossible had actually been possible, and having the car on the field at the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance was the ultimate proof of concept.
We had taken what was arguably one of the roughest Lotus Elans on the planet, that was certainly destined to the scrap yard and now had it basking in the sun, in concours condition.
