Have not driven our beloved 09 Mazda 5 GT with 165K in a while. Took it out for a spin and was quite struck by how bad the vibes have become at idle in gear. Go away in neutral or while underway. There are a lot of inexpensive mount kits online for Mazda 3 of the same year. Will this work? Easy peezy or PITA?

Yup! Exact same OE parts 3 to 5 for the 2.3L N/A motor. The dogbone one and lower are easy IIRC and the trans is tougher but not bad at all. Make sure you get correct trans mount as the auto and manual ones differ.
The electric focus trans mount is WAAAY better than the stick Mazda ones
