I meant to upload this when I had first got it but it's been a busy week or so. Anyhow I am now the proud owner of a 1999 Saab 9-3 truck! So far it has been a blast as a starter rally car, it handles fairly well and likes to drift around just about every corner because of the weight reduction in the back. Next step is skid plate, lightbar, and perhaps a back cap.

that's a 9-3 ute.
Honestly, with the size of the hatch on those things, I would have been tempted to remove the hatch and build a bed to fit into the opening left behind

Good looking car! If you have any questions just ask.

The thought of putting a cap on this thing kills me
.
Maybe buy another 9-5 and cut the back off to make a removable cap?
Glad to see this thing living on, especially as a rally car.
I'm so happy to see this ute getting more love and another chapter in its life. It was fun cutting into a perfectly fine car with angle grinders and sawzalls.

For a light bar, it should be really easy.
The front bumper comes off super easy (pop out the center grill, and zip out the headlights first) with two big bolts.
You can either tie into those points or tie into the main bumper support which is basically a nice piece of rectangular tubing just under the front bumper plastic.
Or if you're doing a real truck light bar, you could put a roll bar in the bed and just put the lights on top of that... ;)
A skid plate would be good since the Saab does use an external oil cooler at the bottom front of the radiator stack.
