Would it be soaking the driver side floorboard with A/C condensate?

According to my MINI service manual, the A/C evaporator core lines attach on the driver's side. It seems possible that condensate could be leaking from the condensate pan to that side. The coolant lines also enter to that side, but I'd assume you'd smell the difference.

If you need a 2002-2006 MINI service manual, I have absolutely no need for this one.

Sunroof? Check the drain tubes. Common failure is for them to become disconnected and the result is what you've got.
