I got to experience this car a bit last week, too. I'll add that it does make for a nice discotheque with all the mood lighting. It can be distracting while driving, though, especially at night.
Sport mode tightens up the steering nicely, but I did not notice much of a difference in how the car rode. It still wallowed quite a bit in the rear.
Surprising and disappointing, but I love it that we live in an era when we can say "402 horsepower is good but not exceptional"

It's a wild era indeed. IMO: The car didn't feel underpowered for the street by any means, but, yes, there are other options out there with even more power.

I also got to drive it briefly and was a passenger in it a handful of times, and my general impression was that it was trying very hard but whiffing it on the "quiet comfort" and luxury points. While the packaging was dazzling at first in terms of aesthetics, that novelty did not translate to lasting charm. It just wasn't an especially comfortable space to be in, and considering the price tag of the EQE, I don't think I'm wrong to have expected better.
