No maintenance documentation other than "has been maintained at local dealership" but wow!

Makes you wonder, would you buy this because it has made it to 590k, or run because it has made it to 590k...

$18k clean title 996 Turbo

$18,000 seems a bit optimistic, by a 0.

Still, good on him. That's rare mileage territory for most commuter vehicles.

I'd love to see dyno numbers on that.

A friend sent this to me, said it would make a nice addition to the R63. What could go wrong?

$18K for something with 590K miles? I don't care what it is, no thank you. Also, automatic, ewww.

I saw this and was trying to decide what I'd be willing to pay for it. At around 10k I feel like I'd be an immediate buyer as long as it ran out nice, which if the ad is accurate it sounds like it does.

I would say 1-owner 200k > 3-owner 90-120k, but 590k is a whole different ballgame.

How many hundred thousand dollars have been spent on maintenance? It looks good, I wouldn't be afraid of it because it must have been well loved.

590k in 15 yrs is 39k+ per year, every year!!!

In addition, this is in Minneapolis (aka Salt and Rust Country)

I kind of have to question that. Notice how the odometer says 590,000 precisely, and the trip odometer says 59.0 miles exactly. Coincidence, or default failure setting? Not that a 15 year old Porsche could have any potential electrical issues or anything...

Ferry Porsche would be proud. "A Porsche is meant to be driven."

This car was featured in Panorama a while back with 577k miles on it (original owners.)

A crazy amount, I'm sure. Fuel and depreciation alone have cost the owners >$200k, not counting any time value whatsoever.

Sitting in the nicest car in the world has to be miserable if you are in it for 39k miles/year.

Wow. I actually don't think that is a bad price. Guaranteed the maintenance has been done often and well. Which is more than you can say for most other sub 20k 996s. Much less sub 20k 996 turbos.

People do that. One of the big things for /r/justrolledintotheshop for a while was lining up the numbers so it went 123456 789. Or other odd combinations.

If it said "Cummins" on the side they would probably be asking twice that much .

I agree with Robbie, there's reason to believe it's been treated very well to have made it that far. If I had the testicular fortitude and the cash laying around to gamble on such things I'd offer like $15k.

You can see the mileage pic is at 68 mph...they reset the trip meter 59 miles prior to the milestone for the photo op. People do this all the time with 80,085, 123,456,798, or 111,111 and the trip meter at 111.1 or whatever.

I can't think of any scenario under which I would buy that but I think that it's awesome that someone bought a car like that and actually drove it. A lot!

A friend of mine has the other 500k+ mile 996tt in the world, and he is on track to beat this one soon, depending on how much the new owner drives. It has taken surprisingly little work for the mileage and performance overall, and the whole car is holding up well. He drives it all year long in Rhode Island too.

Just guess, the owner was probably a traveling salesman or contractor.

590,000 miles at the federal reimbursement rate of .54/mile is $318,600 in tax credit.

All of a sudden it makes sense.
