No kidding huh? I was more mesmerized by the orange glow than the flames and im not sure why.

You guys need to go and watch som erallying at night. Most turbo rally cars mount the cat right at the rear of the exhaust and you can see the substrate glowing bright orange from behind.

Go watch some nitro dragsters at night if header flames are what blows your hair back.

More fun is watching somebody run an old chainsaw where the muffler fell off, you can see the flame in the combustion chamber lean out when it digs into a log.
