Any racing series need a support series? I have an idea.
We have a performance version of the Maverick, the Lobo, so why not a race car (truck?) version?
And if we're making a race version, why not a whole series?
Here's a (rough) mockup of my brilliant idea:

Bonus points for the center locks.
So the fundamental difference with the Lobo is they switched one terrible transmission for another terrible transmission?

I don't want to attract undue attention to my daily, but I'd take full Archer Bro's livery for my Jeep. I've watched a few old truck races and it's fun!
In reply to JG Pasterjak :
That's almost too rad.
Almost.

Trucks or not, more of this, please.

That's rad. Also those wheels look awesome.
A small pickup series would probably do well. It'd be fun to watch, for sure.
Reminds me of one of my all-time favorite racing series. If anyone wants to kill some time on youtube: look up Ssangyong Ute racing in New Zealand. You won't be disappointed.
My local Mitsu Evo Tuner has turned onto The Maverick.
This one:
2022 Maverick. 2.0EB, 4x4, FX4, Max Tow, XLT. It is equipped with:
Buschur's Pro Vented Catch can
Buschur's front mount intercooler
Buschur's cat back exhaust
Buschur's 3" intake Custom
Buschur tune through 5Star Tuning
13.56 in 1/4 mile
Autox too

Autox too. Notice the air under the 3rd wheel!

My first issue of GRM had an article about Improved Touring trucks. Complete with a photo of a Toyota (maybe a Nissan?) locking up an inside wheel on corner entry while duking it out with other trucks.
Back when everyone made a minitruck with a four cylinder in the 2.2-2.5l range. There were some breaks available like Rangers could use single plug heads on their 2300s.
Would it be too outside the box if they ran the hybrids?
A field of uncorked trucklettes with CVTs should make for some interesting sounds.

Why stop there? Where are the EV trucklettes?
