In my quest to fill in knowledge of old "muscle cars" (let's not start that discussion again...) I recently found that the big three shipped or made different cars for the markets outside the USA. And let me say... I'm smitten.

these are obviously "restomod renders" of the chevy opala. Right. Not an impala, an opala. Looks incredible!
aussie got some cool 60-70's too!

You could just buy the Opel Manta version that was sold here in the states...

Ok, so the Opala was based on a different Opel model, but it's close. Besides, by the time you customize every panel on the car to look like the render, it doesn't really matter which one you started with.

The answer is though GM as an example is headquartered in the US; GM is a global organization that produces for the domestic market. One example is the Chevrolet Orlando a Cruze tall wagon sold in various markets including Canada and never sold in the US.

Many large corporations such as Ford, GM, Home Depot, and Coca Cola tell us they are Canadian in there advertising.

I wish that worked the other way around and they sent some of the cool E36 M3 to North America every once in a while.

Buick's aren't uncommon in Australia especially from the 60s and 70s they were apparently popular as government cars etc there.
