Friend had one of those, and it had similar problems with the cooling system. The adjustable suspension on his car was also non-functioning, and it had a terrible shifter, it was notchy everywhere I don't know if yours does this, but his had this awesome clunking sound when shifting hard, motor mounts maybe. Put a downpipe and full exhaust on it, some bigger injectors, and turn up the boost!
Y'all officially suck. I just emailed a guy selling a MX6 Turbo locally. I hope he doesn't respond.

Ah, I see on that one on CL, that they cut holes in the door panels to fit lame looking speakers. What a shame. Still, buy it. You can find another set of door panels. Ones with 200k look the same as ones with 75k. It shouldn't be a problem to find a nice set.
Buy it buy it buy it buy it buy it!
I'd consider that a selling point, personally. I'm currently trying to buy a set that have been cut for 6.5" components.
Those speakers are ugly, but at least its already set up for a halfway decent front stage, as opposed to the BS 4" in-dash speakers that these came with.

Most of the GT cooling problems are caused by people replacing radiators and not noticing that there's a difference between the LX and GT units. The LX is a single-row and will NOT adequately cool the GT-trim cars.
Old hoses, systems that haven't been flushed, and old crappy OEM dual-stage thermostats don't help either.
TL;DR: Cooling problems are more the fault of the owners than the system itself on these cars.
The clunking was either mounts or control arm bushings, or both. AWR makes front and rear mounts, and King6Fab makes side mounts. (They're for the 2nd gen V6 cars, but the mount itself is the same, it's the bracket that's different.)

I'm impressed. I rode in one of those things brand new in 1988, and I thought to myself "that's a cool idea - too bad they won't do that anymore after 3 years or so."

Apparently they actually kept that as an option into the 626 until that was discontinued for the Mazda6 in 2003.

I've found the oscillating vents to be extremely reliable. My vents after 275k still work great, and I used to use them pretty much continuously.

One thing I am noticing with mine, I do not care for the driver's seat. it's about 4 inches too short for my shoulders, and not terribly comfortable. I think this means it will be the recipient of a racing seat, as soon as I find a decent one that fits my fat a$$.

Ditto, mine still work. Actually... so did the in-cabin electronically adjustable suspension before i tore it out. The in-cabin adjustable steering rack worked as well. So did the factory subwoofer.

It's better suited for little kids like me i think. I think it's one of the best, if not THE BEST stock seat i've ever sat in. It can actually adjust in close enough to hug me.
If you do replace it with a racing seat, let me know. I'll probably want those seats off of you, and i can give you my passenger seat as replacement.
