Now I just want a bunch of small vehicle manufacturers to come out of sheds, whom make vehicles with hemp fiber and composite body panels that use 4 cylinder ford EB engines.

Those prices are ridiculously cheap for such a small production run of vehicles particularly when you factor in the variety of divers powertrains they're talking about.

I love that!  The coupe is cool too.

Re plant-based epoxy - I've done quite a bit of research, and evidently it's basically chemically similar to the petro-based stuff.  Just uses wood-based feed stock.  Has been used for years in surf boards and such.

And "regular" uncoated epoxy will happily crumble in sunlight too...

I used to work for an epoxy chemist. He told me that even the plant based epoxies still use some petro-derived elements. There is a percentage they have to hit to be considered plant based.

I like the car!

I really like the coupe, it's a bit '60's Corvette in the back.

The forward leaning roll bars are a bit weird.

I see a lot of miata in the convertible.

the coupe reminds me of the factory five 818 coupe.

I would make terrible decisions for that car.

Trabants used phenolic resin with flax fiber. Probably the least biodegradable resin, they are a known disposal problem.

Thats a cool little concept. Lets hope it gets to market and not just vaporware.  Chances of it in the US? close to zero in my opinion. Getting that body to our ridiculous crash stands sounds impossible without ruining it.

It is a rather fetching little thing. it doesn't go all out with the edgy racer thing, nor does it try to be vintage. It's handsome, well proportioned and would look damn fine in my garage.

Funny thing....About 25 years ago I went to the airplane museum at Old Warden Aerodrome. I did not find out till this post that it was the site of Berkeley production.
