Can anyone here access ford book times?

I'd like to have the book time to r and r the 7.3L diesel in a F350. TIA

It is probably something silly like 24 hours standard or 8 hours under warranty.

Need more info: what year, what transmission, two or four wheel drive, what part of the country is it in (can add 5-10% per year of age due to rust complications)

For a 2003 f350 there is a couple modifiers but nothing crazy.

Auto is 18.8

Manual is 19.8 with 2wd and 21.7 with 4wd

Dual alternators adds 1.2.

Don't be surprised if someone is adding extra time for being an older vehicle

Extra 1.2 for dual alternators?  Oooh, I bet they run the wiring for the second alternator behind some stuff that can otherwise stay on the engine, and there is no simple way to disconnect.

Which reminds me... engine R&R labor is different depending on if you are transferring parts or not.  There is one time for just pulling it out and putting it back in, there is another time for transferring accessories, and there is still another time for a longblock where you additionally have to transfer over manifolds and tinwork.

Book times are also generally factored on a "new" engine and don't cover things like cleaning or dealing with brittle yet embedded old gaskets.
