Toyota officially released engine specs for its upcoming 2022 GR 86 today, rating the car’s 2.4-liter flat-four for 228 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft of torque. That’s an increase of 23 horsepower and 28 lb.-ft. over the outgoing 86 and, perhaps not surprisingly, is on par with the new Subaru BRZ.

Are they going to pull the same stunt that Subaru did with the free SCCA memberships for WRX buyers, and then deny warranty claims? frown
