I just realized Z06's were that cheap the other day. Since then I have been looking around for things I could sell for 20k. I think my wife would miss our house

why is it that every time I am on this site, I also have craigslist open?
I haven't seen any for under $20K... but I haven't looked that hard, either... there's a reason for that... I did see a low mileage, fully prepped, Super Stock auto-x class model for around $28K on the SCCA classifieds that had me dreaming for awhile.
I know a guy that traded in an '01 in for $15K--it had about 75K miles. Many of them on the track... .
an autotrader search using z06 as the keyword and max price of 20k turned up 95 results nation wide. I would post link, but it was long enough that it would take up most of a page.

i think thats about it. price is 22.5k obo, car is parked in the garage and can be seen whenever. not going to put up with stupid posts either so don't start.
I have also been watching the prices of C5 Z06's falling. I have been getting more and more tempted to buy one by the day!
I've found non Z06 C5's for around 12-14k. Now that's a steal!

Sounds like 2002+ are the years to get if you want all the power.
Edmunds just picked up a used one for their longterm fleet.
They just got rid of an E46 M3 that they picked up used and had for a year or so. I dig the longterm tests of used enthusiast vehicles.

That is a lot of car for the money. Given that you are searching for a track car, I'm not sure there is a better choice for the money.
I tried to buy early Z06 last year(right after the Contour SVT let me down on the way back from the 24) and couldnt find an unmolested example. You needed $20k or more at that time. I bought the GTO as an alternative. I am very happy.
That's a bunch of 'vet for the money!

vehical is in great condition, runs and looks wonderful 68k has header back exhaust, new gears in the rear(more torque), custom sound system and C6Z06 style wheels(one inch wider front and rear) moving to denver and have no real reason to keep it, otherwise would love to hold onto it. for more info contact me at (703)929-2845*serious buyers only plz.
I recently bought a '99 coupe 6-speed for well under twelve grand. It is a LOT of car for the money, and you can get parts at a GM dealer after work rather than having to leave early to get to the import dealer by 5.
