Those are my all time favorite. A friend had an '85, dark red on dark red leather. Beautiful cars!!
This looks good. It seems like the biggest problems with these cars, for what I want, are the suspension and brakes. This is awesome because suspension and brakes stuff is fun for me. I do want to develop an anti-lag system, so it's good that the 5m is relatively small displacement and 2V. If it doesn't flow that well, but has a stout bottom end, it would be just about perfect for testing the effectiveness of an anti-lag system.
But mostly, I just need more old Toyota.

These have really E36 M3ty archaic fuel injection (part of the reason they're so easy to boost), so plan on a full Megasquirt setup if that's your intent. You will not be able to do anything fancy with the factory setup, that's for sure. You also might be better off with an earlier engine, IIRC there were two compression bumps throughout the production run.
