I have confirmed this.

I first met Charles in 1981 at the VTR national in the Poconos.  He was a stand up guy.  I first bought something ( A owners manual for my TR250 ) in 1980.  That was when he was still working out of his apartment.

I wish you warm skies and good oil pressure Charles!

In reply to 68TR250 :

I just received an Email about Charles Runyan's passing. Very sad.

I was also at the VTR National Convention in the Poconos. Ran my first autocross at that event, at a drag strip in NJ.

I probably met Charles at the TRA National Convention in 1980 at the Summit Inn in western Pennsylvania. I was at the first "Summer Party" during a VTR meet, and camped at one a few years later.

I read this on Facebook earlier today and it hit me pretty hard.  I was buying TR3 parts from Charles when he was still working out of his apartment.

Yes, very sad and has hit me pretty hard too. He was a great guy, built his business around quality parts and loved our cars and the people involved. A great man who will be missed by all. Been to most of the Summer Party's on his farm, spent many a camp fire talking to Charles, Albert and Caroline as we watched his kids grow up over the years and had many a beer in the Coventry Inn.  My condolences to his family and RIP Charles, we will keep the Triumphs running in your honor!

I wouldn't have restored my first TR6 without Charles and TRF.  Godspeed, Mr. Runyan.

Very sad to hear, quite a few parts on my Spit came from there.
