I'm having a hard time finding 'em cheap. Am I searching wrong or something? I figure name brand, top level quality shouldn't be needed for these components. Here are examples:

By the time you do all 4 corners it really adds up. Anyone got better solutions? Also, thrust washers add to the expense even further, but I'm not totally convinced that cheap is the way to go with them.

I couldn't find cheap options either when I was looking. I will be watching this thread with interest.

Yeah. I got stuff like this:

http://www.speedwaymotors.com/AFCO-27005-Coil-Over-Take-Up-5lb-Yellow-Spring,24622.html

http://www.speedwaymotors.com/AFCO-20183-1-Coil-Over-Take-Up-Spring-Nylon-Slider-Guide,23640.html

http://www.speedwaymotors.com/AFCO-20144-Coil-Over-Thrust-Bearing-Kit,39802.html

Not an improvement.

I figured there's a ton of Chinese coilovers on eBay. There ought to be helper springs and related parts there, too, but I'm not finding them. It strikes me as especially weird, because helper springs and seats are arguably the components of coilovers where Chinese grade would be most likely to be acceptable. Odd.

For the spacer, I was thinking of a maybe 3/4" long piece of 3.5" exhaust tubing on the OUTside with a couple roll pins or something welded into place to keep it from falling down.

I do want to do double coils for the front next year. Still deciding on if I want to get fancy and play with variable rates or just stack springs.
