Popped up on the trionic tuning forum. I don't have many details.

Look at all the extra room in the front of the engine bay where the transmission used to be!

I'd love to have either.

My favorite RWD Saab swap is this thing that a guy I know built: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9DBfjKvYHw

88 YJ Wrangler, B204T Saab engine with the boost turned up a bit. Uses a T5 trans, retains the transfer case and working 4wd too.

Since I can't plus 1 more than once I'm quoting and voting up again!!!!!

As all the SAAB people know, those engines always wanted to hooked up to a RWD chassis. The equal length axels of the c900 made for a pretty darn good FWD, but they couldn't take the power that those engines were capable of. The NG900/9-3 could take the power, but the chassis was a disappointment.

Oh, and I want those headlights too.

That red car looks superb. I'd really love to run through a detailed build thread (in English por favor).

I've died and ended up in the the mother ship thread of ridiculously awesome Swedish powered things! All it needs is a Saab powered Merkur.

Why must my car building and fabrication skills be so pathetic?

Also in the vein of ridiculous Swede powered things:

looks to me that the orange 90 is using the suspension from a BMW? Looks like the same rear from my old 318ti

Looks similar, but the subframe of the BMW suspension is more straight across, with a tongue sticking off the back to support the front of the diff. The back of the diff is supported by the body, and this acts as the third member of the subframe support. The trailing arms are also a different shape. However, the E30-style trailing arm rear looks like it would also fit under there pretty well.

i wish saab would have made RWD cars, i think they have some of the best looking vehicles on the road just (in my opinion) the wrong wheel drive.

According to page 2 of the SAABRally link posted above, the rear end parts are Ford.
