I got the cover off the '68.
I fired it up, and let them horses sing.
Chug a lug a luggin' 5 miles an hour
On my International Harvester
Up under the seat of my big black jacked up truck
Rollin' on 35s
I'm ok with those lyrics.
Zac Brown in reference to the last song above:
“If I hear one more tailgate-in-the-moonlight, daisy dukes song, I’m gonna throw up.”
That's actually pretty funny!

Real country music...don't know where to even find it. Probably why I listen to bluegrass when I need a fix. Drunk old cowboys whining about their wimminz leaving them didn't used to be a big draw for me but now I confess missing that true American form of music.
Isn't that the "western" portion of country AND western music?
I don't regularly listen to much C&W stuff, except a bit of older Joe Diffie and Alan Jackson's "Mercury Blues", oh and any of the Hayseed Dixie bluegrass style riffs on rock songs. But I have heard quite a bit of the southern rock and southern pop that passes for the Country side of C&W as my wife goes around the Sirius XM dial. I dont' mind it, but I'm not going to search it out.
But, then again, I like a bit of J-pop and Japanese metal and punk in my collection so what do I know? (Babymetal and Band Maid rock!)
