Having been watching sub $35k cars, the price here reminds me that I don't quite understand Lotus Elise pricing. I would understand at high thirties - later model than most, desirable color, low miles, great condition. Is it really worth so much more than a 50k driver from a year earlier?

It's colliding with 4c prices.

It's probably me. Still, it's an hour away, when everything else is 6 or more. It's pretty. I want it.

Edit: 2 years newer, half the miles, $9k cheaper:

Linky worky....I like the brake fluid bottle stored next to the masters. Radio delete plate and no overdrive switch evident. Base car.

How about a 1993 Pulsar GTiR?

I haven't seen one of these in the wild since about 1994 or so.

Okay, maybe not lust, but I have long been drawn to the uniqueness of these cars.  Truth be told, I like the Pacer too!

Seriously, when's the last time you saw a Gremlin on Craigslist?

My mom and step dad had a Gremlin with a V8 as I was just getting my license. I got to drive it a half dozen times, what a hoot. For a car of that era to have any power was amazing, sadly it got crashed and was replaced with a '76 Granada, what a sad car that was. I'd rock another Gremlin in a heartbeat.

"1972 Brubaker Box / AutoMecca Sports Van" in southern CA. I guess it's a fiberglass kit car based on a VW beetle chassis, that was a futuristic concept at the time of a minivan. No price, but I thought some people would find it interesting

I understand that's a Brubaker Box, what's this poor thing called?  An early Brubaker or something else?

I believe that is a "boonie buggy". Popular Mechanics plans for them in the 70's.

That's what it is.  I remember reading that story in PM over and over, I thought it was the coolest thing.

It appears you can still buy plans for building one:  https://rqriley.com/product/boonie-bug/

My old boss, an ACVW mechanic, bought one to use as a billboard. They have some major rust issues, but it's a really cool body. Too bad they used a bus chassis instead of a bug.

Okay, it's eBay, but just look at this glorious beast!  If our shop didn't need a roof right now I might be on my way to get my new tow rig.

That would make one hell of a camper rig!

And what's hanging out of the bumper... some kind of PTO output?

Would be nice if they had some details in the ad...

As someone who has raced an ITC Mk I Firsta my advice is to run, run away fast, don’t look back and keep running. While a great car for the mid 70’s it has far far too many shortcomings to consider.

I’d run towards that as fast as I’d run away from the Fiesta!
