Crude oil hits 12 month high

I thought it just hit a good low just a month ago?

Regular was still $2.35 here yesterday. Dirt cheap.

Gas jumped 20 cents a gallon over the last 2 weeks in the Detroit area. Now at $2.55 or so. Thats for 87 octane

Cue US auto makers switching back from SU..ahem, "crossovers" and muscle cars to efficient compacts.

$2.51 for 93 octane here... and being in NJ, you do not have to pump it

The US dollar has taken a beating the last couple of weeks, and that's probably had some to do with oil going up, since it's quoted in US dollars. If the dollar rebounds, oil prices probably will as well.

Still somewhere around $5 a gallon for gas, dunno about diesel (I know it was expensive enough that companies with their own generators shut them down at the last price jump, until the power company upped their rates)...I hardly notice 'cuz I just put $25-$30 in whichever vehicle and it gets me around for a week
